Our Company:
We are a new, small business in Ottawa, Ontario, dedicated to green and sustainable practices. From start to finish, we strive to reduce our ecological footprint and ensure that our production process is as environmentally friendly as the products we create.
Nature nurtures us, and we believe it is our responsibility to nurture it in return. Our goal is to inspire greener living and mindful consumption, leaving a healthy planet as a legacy for future generations. From non-toxic ingredients to sustainable packaging, like glass and paper, to paperless marketing strategies and low-energy production methods, we aim to make eco-conscious choices in every aspect of our business.
Our Story:
The Green Goddess was born out of a deep desire to achieve three things that mean the world to me: supporting my family's health and well-being, helping others and protecting our planet.
The idea for The Green Goddess first took root when my children were very young. At the time, I was searching for ways to contribute financially, while staying home to raise our children. As a graduate of social development studies and an educator by training, I’ve always been passionate about teaching, addressing social issues and promoting human welfare. These passions became the foundation of this venture.
After many years struggling with chronic health conditions, I knew I needed to embrace a new path forward for myself and my family. Amidst these struggles, my husband and I decided to homeschool our children - a decision that has since become a cornerstone of our lives. While homeschooling, we have explored a wide range of topics: financial literacy, mental health, climate change and social entrepreneurship, to name a few.
One Christmas season, I had an idea: why not make homemade gifts for family and sell some to support a local charity? That spark of inspiration soon grew. What if we created a natural wellness product - not just for gifts, but as a way to share something meaningful with others? And what if this venture could help improve our health and teach our children resilience, entrepreneurship and the importance of improving mental and physical health, while caring for the planet? Suddenly, it all clicked.
This became my "aha" moment. Combining my love for teaching, learning, helping others and creating, I realized I could build something that brought all these values together. The Green Goddess became not just a business, but a way to live out my beliefs and demonstrate to my children the power of turning challenges into opportunities. Through this venture, I aim to support my family, inspire others and contribute to a healthier world by creating natural health and wellness products.
Our lives today look very different from what I ever imagined, but I wouldn’t change a thing. The challenges we’ve faced have led us here, and for that, I am deeply grateful. I’m excited about the journey ahead and hope you’ll join us as we continue to grow and make a difference together.
